This support page is exclusively for partners using the Autodesk Laika Linear Media Player iPad application. For technical issues, setup assistance, or further help, please use the information below.


Setup Instructions


1. Device Network Connection

Make sure your device is connected to the same WAN as the CMS server. To verify this connection:

Visit http://10.144.40.150/ADSK/linear-media/?station=Laika in your iPad’s web browser and confirm that you see JSON data displayed.


2. App Download

Visit the direct link (provided by your Autodesk coordinator) to download the app from an unlisted link on the app store.


3. First Launch & Downloads

When you open the app for the first time, it needs to download the video content. Please leave the app open and give it a moment to finish this process; it will automatically begin playing Station 1’s videos when ready.


4. Check Audio

Make sure your volume is up and your device is not set to silent mode.


5. How to Change Stations

If you need to view content for a different station (1, 2, or 3):

  1. Force Quit the app (swipe up from the bottom of the screen to view open apps, then swipe the app card up to close it completely).
  2. Go to your Device Settings > Apps > ADSKLinearMediaPlayer.
  3. Tap Station Number and select 1, 2, or 3.
  4. Reopen the app to see the new content.

6. Updates & Reinstallation

If a new version is to be installed, or updates are needed from the CMS:

Uninstall the app before installing the new version/again.


Common Issues (FAQ)


Q: The application is unresponsive to touch/gestures. What should I do?

A: If the app is frozen or not reacting, please first force-close the application completely and then reopen it. If the issue persists, try restarting your iPad device.

Q: The app crashes frequently or exhibits unexpected behaviour.

A: We recommend ensuring your iPad is running the latest stable version of iPadOS and that the app itself is fully updated. If the issue continues after an update and restart, please reach out to technical support immediately for troubleshooting.

Q: Where can I find the unlisted download link?

A: The link for this unlisted resource is managed and distributed directly by Autodesk. Please contact your Autodesk coordinator to obtain the official download link or share it with new staff members.
